I’m Laura, as you probably know. I live in PA and attend Lycoming College. You can get most of this infomation from my profile, so I’m not going to waste our time and repeat everything.
Let’s see…. I was born on May 4 in Meadowbrook. I grew up in Quakertown, where I attended a church preschool, Quakertown Elementary, and Pfaff Elementary. When Pfaff was closed down, I went to Trumbarisville Elementary. My younger years were filled with bad friends and current fads, playground fights and lots of candy. I had a rabbit, four cats, and two dogs. Many days I would come home in tears, curl up in a small, dark space, and just cry.
I moved across the country when I was ten. I don’t wish to get into it, but I met some of the best people in the world there. I will never forget pineapple field parties, Red Bull, or the Poke of Doom. It was during these seven years that I discovered a love of writing – and not just a love, but a talent for it. I guess you have to suffer a little to write well, huh?
In 2006 I moved back to PA and attended Pennridge High School. I was immediately roped into a bad relationship, followed by another, which did nothing to help my self esteem, my depression, or my outlook on life. I wrote a lot in the two years it took to graduate from Pennridge. I think if you asked any teacher I had, they would all the same thing: “Every day, I saw Laura with a book or scribbling away madly in a notebook.” I even wrote a book, which I’m trying to get published. I started learning who I was in my senior year, and I’m still learning, and still growing.
I’m poised to attend Lycoming College in August of this year. Wish me luck!
